At the end of 1966, the car was being transported to Nassau, when a cigarette was dropped onto a car cover in the cockpit. The Lola caught fire and was badly damaged. Afterwards, all remaining parts were sold to a new owner. The car was sold to Lilo Zicron who had it restored before it was sold to Jean Marc David in 2018.
